Providing Actionable Feedback to Teachers

(5 Hours) Observation data and formative assessments both can provide support to teachers in the classroom to help improve student performance.  Administrators will learn how to take evidence from observations and assessments and provide specific and actionable feedback to teachers to improve teaching. Participants explore effective evidence and analyze methods for providing constructive feedback and strategies to teachers.

How can I provide targeted and actionable feedback on specific instructional practices based on evidence I observed during a formal observation of my teacher?

What You Will Learn In This Course

  • How to use evidence from lessons to provide feedback
  • How to structure a feedback report using an instructional practices rubric for teachers
  • How to ensure fidelity in implementation of specific strategies to improve weak teaching areas

CPE Hours

At the conclusion of the course, you will receive a certificate for 5 CPE hours.  Model Teaching and Action Potential Learning is a Statewide, TEA (Texas Education Agency) approved provider for Continuing Professional Education credit.  CPE# 902-391
