Explicit Instruction in Elementary Reading

(5 Hours) This course prepares participants to implement explicit instruction lessons in their elementary reading classroom. Explicit instruction is an effective way to teach isolated reading skills through a very targeted and specific gradual release method. This method includes a modeling component, both guided and independent practice, and a method of assessment.  In this course you will learn how to implement this strategy and will be provided an assortment of tools and resources to help you seamlessly implement explicit instruction in your elementary classroom.

CPE Hours

At the conclusion of the course, you will receive a certificate for 5 CPE hours.  Model Teaching from Action Potential Learning is a Statewide, TEA (Texas Education Agency) approved provider for Continuing Professional Education credit.
