(12 Hours) In this course, participants will learn how to analyze grade level expectations during the lesson planning process, in order to select the appropriate methods of differentiation for a range of student types, including students with disabilities and special needs. This course will cover how to effectively use Bloom’s taxonomy and Webb’s Depth of Knowledge to maintain appropriate levels of rigor when planning differentiated lessons and explain various methods of assessment and documentation.

What You Will Learn In This Course:

  • What differentiated instruction looks like in the classroom and how to reflect on your current differentiation practices
  • How to use Bloom’s Taxonomy as well as Webb’s Depth of Knowledge to plan lessons that meet content standards with appropriate levels of rigor and scaffolding
  • How to track student progress to ensure that your differentiation is guiding students to content mastery
  • How to document the modifications you make in order to meet legal requirements of IEP/504 plans and to guide future instruction
