Writing Prompts: Building Effective Writing Prompts for All Students (Version 1.0)

(7 Hours) This course will teach participants about five main types of writing prompts: narrative, creative, expository, persuasive and reading response. Several examples of each type of prompt for all grade levels will be shared, as well as step-by-step templates to help participants develop their own grade-level appropriate wiring prompts. The course will also include a brief overview of using rubrics to assess writing.
